The US Has Dropped The Bomb. Why Is Russia Considered A Greater Nuclear Threat?

The United States is the only nation to have ever dropped nuclear weapons upon a civilian territory populated by children, the elderly, and unarmed men and women.

Logically, American political and military leadership, having already demonstrated they possess the character to drop nuclear weapons upon a defenceless civilian population, might once again consider another nation to be a legitimate nuclear target.

America, along with its partner, NATO, currently has placed a network barrage of nuclear weapons within countries that are acting as de facto American bases, and has these weapons aimed directly at Russia. Why would Putin, or any national leader, when threatened by weapons of mass destruction controlled by the only nation to have ever used them, be expected to treat this threat lightly and not push back against it?

Why should nations like Britain, Portugal, Spain, Belgium, France and Germany, who have plundered, raped and murdered their way around the world with impunity, believe they have the moral right to lecture Putin about how he fights his own corner.

I can’t think of one soviet or Russian leader who would have lasted a week if they’d shown weakness when faced with a similar level of American and NATO aggression.

I might not like or support Putin’s current war, but I cannot understand why Putin, the head of his nation’s defence, when threatened by nuclear destruction, is expected to fight back on terms his enemies set for him. Propaganda, the death of innocents, lies, scrambling for resources, they’re all part of winning by any means. The west doesn’t have the right or the means to insist Putin lose on the west’s terms.
