President Trump Feels Some Nazi Love

Discontentment - at least amongst independents and Republicans who hoped the presidency would bring out Trump’s latent best qualities - has spread like wildfire in the whirlwind of President Trump's seven-month presidency.

Amid the clamour, it seems that the only voices still championing him belong to Fox News and extremist factions once confined to the fringe of the American political spectrum. This raises the question: Why does anyone claim to have been caught off guard?

While the prevailing sentiment might be one of sadness, the shockwaves of President Trump's actions have left many disturbed and fearful. But the element of surprise? That seems to be conspicuously absent.

President Trump has consistently flaunted his unfiltered thoughts and displayed his true self before the American populace. From controversial remarks to unorthodox policies, his approach has been entirely consistent: no supporter of this president can genuinely claim ignorance.

The shadows of President Trump's actions cast shame on him and those who rallied behind him. His unabashed conduct and divisive rhetoric have become indelibly linked with his supporters' allegiance. The ramifications of this connection cannot be ignored.

The trajectory of this presidency was far from unpredictable. President Trump's tenure has been a masterclass in transparency, albeit not in the conventional sense. His supporters, knowingly or unknowingly, have embraced his demeanour and approach. As the chapter unfolds, it's clear that President Trump's legacy is inextricably intertwined with the choices his supporters made. One can only wonder who is leading whom.
